What is Grendel
Roleplaying?
We are a small gaming company
that produces roleplaying games. We are best known for the Red Shift
Science Fiction Roleplaying Game which was published in 1998.
Where are you
guys located?
We are located in Lexington,
Kentucky; the heart of the Bluegrass. You can contact us

How long have
you been around?
We officially started in 1996.
our first legitimate book was published in 1998.
How many
have you produced? How many are still in print?
We have produced 11 books. 9 are
out of print, as we have decided to switch to the Destiny Engine™. This will
make all of our game compatible with one another. Characters from one game
will be able to transfer to another with no alterations. We have a lot of
books we are planning on putting out in the next few months. Keep checking
back or join our mailing list to keep
updated.
What is the
Destiny Engine™?
It is our in-house game engine
that has 15 years of play-tests behind it. It is a unique point-based system
that has no hit points or levels. Characters in our games are meant to
function as people would in the real world. We feel that this brings a
needed level of realism to our products. The skill a character has are more
important than what weapons they have. Combat is hard on characters, they
won't be shrugging off massive damage the way they do in other systems. The
idea is to roleplay, not wage war.
Can
I use images on your website on mine?
The images (and text) presented
on our site are protected by the Copyright Laws of the United States of
America. You can use pictures of our covers as long they are not
altered and a link is proved to this site. Other pictures in this site, such
as those in our Gallery, are from our published books and cannot be used
without express permission from use. So, if you want to use any of them you
will need to
ask
us for permission.
